Author Taylor Thomas Smythe announced the upcoming release of Song of the Starling: A Magic City Wonders Novel, the latest installment in his award-winning science-fiction/fantasy series. 

The novel is the fourth in the series, continuing the story that began with the award-winning series debut Goldie and continued in The Dream Team and Nightmare Array. Song of the Starling will be released in the early half of 2026. This semi-standalone story jumps ahead ten years from the previous installment, bringing us into an eerie new mystery set in 1990.

The book is framed as the in-universe journal of Jesse Haywood—a character who debuted in the original Kingdom of Florida novels. 

Florida author Taylor Thomas Smythe announced Treasure Hunters, a forthcoming fiction podcast set in the world of his award-winning Kingdom of Florida fantasy series for young readers. The scripted audio adventure consists of five episodes, which will be released weekly on all major podcast platforms this Fall 2025.
